{"id":770,"date":"2012-11-19T02:36:55","date_gmt":"2012-11-19T02:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.desdemona.org\/blog\/?p=770"},"modified":"2014-11-12T03:48:41","modified_gmt":"2014-11-12T03:48:41","slug":"sdc-foundation-denham-fellowship-finalist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.desdemona.org\/blog\/sdc-foundation-denham-fellowship-finalist\/","title":{"rendered":"SDC FOUNDATION DENHAM FELLOWSHIP FINALIST"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>SDC FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES THE REGINALD DENHAM FELLOWSHIP\u00a02012 &#8211; 2013 RECIPIENT AND FINALISTS<\/h6>\n<p>Reginald Denham Fellowship is an annual award given to directors to further develop their directing skills by providing $2500 in financial support for the Director\u2019s fee for a particular project.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the Fellowship is awarded to Director Rachel Alderman for her production of Freewheelers produced at The Broken Umbrella Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the committee selected the following Directors as finalists for the Fellowship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Desdemona Chiang, <em>The Hundred Flowers Project<\/em> &#8211; San Francisco, California<\/li>\n<li>Rachel Chavkin, <em>Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet<\/em> &#8211; New York, New York<\/li>\n<li>Amanda Friou, <em>The Cost of a Goat<\/em> &#8211; Iowa City, Iowa<\/li>\n<li>Sullivan Canaday White, <em>Big Love<\/em> &#8211; Lexington, Kentucky<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to Rachel Alderman and all of the finalists, and thanks to those who served on this year&#8217;s Denham Fellowship selection committee: May Adrales, Suzanne Agins, Joe Calarco, and Chair Wendy C.
